Disciple Hour is at 9:45am followed nybyWorship followng at 11:00AM for Worship
At Sovereign Grace Church, we seek to worship the one true God, the Supreme Being, eternally existing in three Persons, who has created all things and who reveals Himself to us in the Holy Bible. The God of the Bible is sovereign over all His creation. To say that God is “sovereign” is to say that God possesses all power in heaven and earth, and no one can defeat His counsel, thwart His purpose, or resist His will (see Psalm 115:3, Isa.43:10-13 ). Our God always exercises His sovereignty as He administers the affairs and events of the world, directing the course of history down to the smallest detail (Proverbs 21:1-8, Matt. 10:29-30). Most importantly, the Lord Almighty is also sovereign in salvation. It is He who determines whom to save and when (John 6:37-44, Rom. 9:14-18, Eph. 1:4-6, 2:8-10, Phil. 1:6). The glory of this salvation is clearly seen in the Person and work of Jesus Christ.
These truths excite in our hearts a profound sense of holy fear and joy for such a great God! Because our Lord is so glorious, we look forward to meeting with Him in corporate worship every Lord’s Day. We invite you to join us as we seek to glorify God, serve the local body of believers and reach out to the community and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
At Sovereign Grace Church, our purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever! Our passion is to see others come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to be firmly rooted in the Word of God. We believe in the necessity of preaching which is expository, doctrinal, and applicatory. We attempt to joyfully and reverently approach God with a desire to commune with Him each and every Lord’s Day. We also stress the necessity of practical Christianity in every sphere of life.
Our church views the New Hampshire Confession as a very good statement. We believe it to be a true reflection of the doctrines taught in the Scriptures. Other good statements include the London Baptist Confession of 1689 and the Abstract of Principles.
Many folks are interested in a new church but are unsure what to expect. We want you to feel at ease when you come and it’s best for everyone, not to have any surprises. Our goal in the worship service is to keep things simple and Christ-centered.
Sunday mornings begin with Disciple Hour at 9:45am. We often alternate between very good Scripture saturated books to actually studying the Scriptures book at a time. Our worship service begins at 11:00am sharp with singing, prayer, Scripture reading and preaching.
