Sound Doctrine

A Word for the Day

At Grace Community Church we care about what Scripture teaches.  The Bible calls this “sound doctrine”.  We care because sound doctrine is the difference between a vibrant strong faith fixed on Christ verses an imaginary faith based on an imaginary god.

Three times in the first two chapters of Titus Paul speaks about sound doctrine:

Titus 1:9 (ESV)

He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.

Titus 2:1 (ESV)

But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.

Titus 2:10 (ESV)

not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

God cares very much about truth and sound doctrine.  We also must care very much about these same things.

God Bless,

Pastor Brian
